Help trying to find motor year

Hey i am in need of some help i am looking at a motor for parts as i want the gearbox the only information off the motor i can get from the seller is that it is a 25 hp johnson with this number on the serial plate A 59791 is there anyway of telling which year it is from this number as i am unable to find it on any of the lists.
i think from the look of the motor it would be a 70's model
any help would be great as i need the box it it will suit a 79 model

You are going to need the model# off of the transom clamp to cross check the year of the motor.
