Hi,
I recently purchesed a used 1996 17' starcraft open bow ( 1st boat )and was running it on the lake. I heard a clunck and started to loose power then stalled. I was able to get it started and nurse it back to the ramp but it stalled again as i powered down. I pulled the lower unit off and removed the prop & gear unit. All gears look to be OK but i found 3 loose 1/4" ball bearings in the unit and can not ID were they would have come from. Any ideas??
