HI everyone,
I'm a newbie here
I have a 26 FT HOURSTON with 5.7 litre AQ 260 engine.
It has the prestolite distributor which I added the pertronix ignition
I am thinking about purchasing a MSD BOX (multi spark discharge) 6m AL
What are your thoughts, are they worth the money, does any body have
Thank You in Advance.
Cheers

The MSD is fine, it's the Pertronix I'd be worried about...

They have proven, in my experiance, to be unreliable. Have installed a lot of 'em, and also removed a lot of 'em. Results may vary. And the early ones will burn out if key is left on with engine not running. They are great for antique cars that maybe see 2000mi a year, not so great, in my opinion, for trusting my life to when crossing the bar in rough seas.

Either the MSD and go back to points to trigger it, or forget the MSD altogether, and install the Delco Voyager EST system, which I think is about same price as the MSD box.
