What year is the Mariner with a serial number 0D259222 and also how to I tighten the steering, it's real loose, this one has the manual handle

Your engine is a 1993 MARINER 40 MLH/ALT Model No: 7040213BD

The service manual you will want to order from a mercury dealer is part number 90-814676R1 That covers engines, 30 JET/40 (4 CYL.) - 1989 THROUGH 1997 MODEL YEARS.

Also here is a link for parts to your engine serial number, Just in cases you need them someday.;)
