Ok I have a 1978 tidecraft. It has two pvc pipes coming out the back of the boat that are threaded. One is capped. I have two livewells, one in front, one in back. They have garden hose running from the both of them to the battery compartment. So how exactly does this work?
Do I need to unplug the pvc pipe on the back to use the livewells? There is no pump.(just bought it) There is small plugs on the bottom of the livewells. What do I need?
I am sure I need some sort of pump. What do I need and what is the best way to make it flow? Any help would be much apprecitated. Thanks!

Re: Livewells??

Tough to say with out pictures. My suggestion would be to put some water in the live wells from a garden hose (while boat is on trailer) and see where it drains out. That will give you an idea of the flow path. As for pump - some drywells are above the waterline and need a pump, some are below and fill with gravity. The gravity filled ones will only drain when you pull the boat out of the water.
