Wow, This board is very busy so i will make this as short as possible.<br /><br /> It has the YL style advance with weights and springs. I noticed the springs are of different rates. One is stronger than the other. Is this normal? or should the springs be equal?<br /><br />Thanks again..<br />wes

Wes:<br />From what I have seen on both Ford and GM the springs should be equal. Most auto parts stores will sell kits for different advance rates, ie: quicker or slower advance. Most places that deal with mallory distributors should have them.<br /><br />Al...

Actally the springs are 2 different sizes on the YL Mallory series.<br /><br />I just over-hauled one.
