Hello all, I took my boat out of storage and replaced plugs, wires, dist cap, rotor this year since I noticed some rough running out of it at the end of last season. It started and ran fine for a few minutes then died. I tracked the spark loss to the coil, and can actually see it arching below the boot of dist wire. I placed the old wire back on with better, but similar result. Spark comes out from under boot. I noticed the inside of the coil seems worn, as in bored out. My question is should I replace the coil? Any other suggestions? It's an 86 model, thunderbolt ig. THANKS!
