unhooking a 5.7 Mercruiser from foot

We are a regular car and truck engine rebuilding facility. As an act of generosity to a customer who has a family member about to pass away who loves boating we took on this 5.7 Mercruiser engine rebuild. The boat is a Monterey Montura 196. My technician has been trying to figure out how to unhook it from the foot. Calling local repair shops has been to no available as they want the business and my customer cannot afford it. If anyone can help my technician with either a proper step by step instructions or a schematic for disassembly it would be appreciated.Tks

In the "Adults Only" section of this forum, there will be a link to download the Service Manual for the engine you're working on. That should cover any question you might have since it seems like you guys know what you're doing.
