A couple guys on here have helped me out on my 92 120 hp L Drive motor, so I figured I would update the crowd.
My motor would only run to 2500 rpms in gear and that was it. I changed the stator, trigger, fuel pump, and fuel lines and still the same thing. I took my boat to a local guy and he pulled the carbs off and found that someone had put a gasket on the inside of the bowl at the bottom where the screw holds it on the carb. He also found that the neoprene tip on both needle valves had a pretty deep groove in them, so he rebuilt them and cleaned them pretty good. He told me that the gasket thing probably wouldn't affect it much, but the needle valves probably would. So I am going to run it on Friday and I will let you all know how it does!
