impeller location on 1994 omc 4.3 (fourwinds)

Can someone help me locate where the cooling impeller is located on a 1994 omc 4.3 l four winds boat? I have checked to lower unit and engine compartment. I have replaced the waterpump on the engine however I can not locate a location for a cooling impeller? Any ideas?

What kind of outdrive? if it is a cobra it's right under the curved traigular shaped plastic piece on the outdrive ,held on by three screws,under that you'll see the pump housing.

OMC changed drives around 94. The SX Cobra is the same as the Volvo penta SX drive. It has the sea water (raw water pump) mounted on a bracket off the engine. It is driven by a drive belt off the crank. If you have this drive, you should be able to see 2 hoses attached to the pump. (My raw water pump is located just below the alternator.)

The older OMC Cobra drive has the raw water pump in the foot of the outdrive.

Both styles have a circulation pump mounted on the engine just like a circulation pump on your car.

The raw water pump on both styles have a rubber impeller that needs to be changed every couple of years.

Digging around for pics of the 2 different style drives.

Here is a pic of the older cobra drive with the sea water pump in drive.

Here is a pic of the OMC/Volvo joint venture SX drive. It has the raw water pump mounted on the engine.

The SX has a hump on top of the drive.
