1974 Sangster OC 120HP over heating problems.

Hey i'm new to the boating world and i just got this 1974 Sangster OC 120hp inboard/outboard motor i"m having over heating issues though I've taken it apart a few times checked water pumps and the alternator, rebuilt brackets for the alternator but have not ran it again. I came back to it few little while later to attempt to fix the problem still not quite sure what it could be any chance i can get some help on it??

had a similar problem last summer with a Sangster 22 with Mercruiser 888 (aka Ford 302 V8) ... problem turned out to be the heat exchanger ... had it pickled at a radiator shop and all is good now
