On my 89 225 excel, I did the water pump seals, and now it will hold about 8 lbs wellsome where between 7-8 and the it burps and lets the air out going pssssssssss................ The air comes out of the prop shaft? Is this normal or do I need to replace? How many lbs should this pressure test to?

What special tools need to do the prop shaft?

How many pounds should a lower hold before it has considered failed? I am going to order the special tools to remove the prop seal, but I wanted to know how many pounds to look for

beats me, same seals on newer units have a 14.8 PSI spec.
volvo says 15PSI for a very short time, cant remember but its less than a few minutes.
however yamaha is the only one to face both seal lips outward.
