I replaced my old fish finder with a new humminbird and was installing yesterday. I completed everything and wired the two wires on the new fish finder to my old connection that my old finder was attached two. No power. I tested the connection and I am getting 12.48 volts but it won't turn on my finder it will only flash. This power is straight from my fuse box on a 5 amp fuse. Just to ensure that it was not the finder I connected directly to the battery and bingo, it works. Has anyone had a similar problem.

I am totally stumped does not make any sense??

Clean all the wire connection points. Careful, I believe 3 amp is max on hbirds.

Yup -- you either don't have a good ground or you don't have 12 volts "at the locator connector".
