125 mercury force 89 engine problems

Hey i recently just got this boat and it runs great for 2 or 3 days before the motor stops runing at its full capacity. Motor doesnt reach its max speed. When i change the spark plugs it works fine again for 2 or 3 days then it mess up again. What can be causing this problem and how do i fix it ?

Are the plugs fouling?
Could be too cold of a plug or to much oil in the gas.

Its more like the engine is miss firing cause of the spark plugs keep giving out within a few days. But then i put new ones in and they just die again?

Sure sounds like wrong plugs to me. But, out of curiousity, what ratio are you using in your fuel?

BTW, a Force motor, while sold by Mercury after a buyout, is actually a Chrysler motor. One of the moderators will move this thread for you, you will probably get more/better help in that section of the site.
