Noise when I turn prop by hand??????

Hello to all. I have a 03 Ebbtide 210 with a 5.7 Mercruiser. I put a new prop on the boat yesterday. After I put the new prop on yesterday, I spun it by hand...... normal noise...... took the boat out for a couple hours and when I spin the prop now, the noise is louder.

Just kinda puzzling....

you didnt by chance leave off the spacer that goes on before the prop?does that out drive have one ,the reason i ask is i did it with my 90 evinrude (doh!)

Yea the spacer is on. When I pull on the prop, there is the normal slack, very little. I wonder if my throttle cable has some slack in it, because I have noticed that it is idling at like 800 rpms sometimes and like a 1000 other times. Maybe the cable is not letting it completely get everything into neutral. Just a guess!
