Rebuild mistery parts help

Hey all I am rebuilding a 96 9.9 2 stroke. I have 2 left over parts that I can not figure out were they go. And one I want to confirm that its correct.



I believe this is the timing link that comes of the trigger assembly is it in the correct place?



One is the link interlock and the other I have no clue were do they go?

I figured out that that one of the wires goes to the pull start the other wire aka the idle wire goes from the top of the carb to ? I know that the timing link in my picture is wrong but do not know were it goes?

Sorry I don't know where the parts go, and I'll just pass off on saying if you rebuild a motor, unless you know it forwards and back, a good manual, or an exploded view , would be of help. Here is a link to a site that should have an exploded view of your motor.

Fuzzy I have all the manuals and exploded views and it just show were on side goes and not the other. I am thinking of going down to my local marina and taking a look at there motors.
