Friends have told me that I can connect to my manual start Mariner so it will charge an external battery for running GPS and other hardware. Can anyone tell me if this is true and, if so, where/how do I make the connections?

get a deep cycle battery and charge it every time you go out, the magneto might run something but it really was only designed to just give spark to your motor
