I bought a '91 Johnson 28hp. It came with an old control box that I want to replace. I am unsure about where the wires go on my new ignition. I did some research and came up with the following:
red with purple stripe: Battery: connects to "B" on ignition switch
purple: Ignition: connects to "I"
purple with white stripe: Choke: connects to "C"
black: Ground: connects to "M"
black with yellow stripe: Kill: connects to raised "M"
white: Start: connects to "S"
brown: (charge coil?): connects to "A"
grey: tachometer
Is this right? I pieced together the info from multiple sources.
