I have not gotten a response to this in over a week. Could someone please help.

Hello Boaters,

I have an issue with my Merc OB.

At low RPM's the motor sounds just fine. When I get up to 20 on my tach the enging starts to "shake" (this is not a sputter as if it was a fuel problem). When I go over 30rpm and get up on plane the engine sounds normal again.

Any ideas?

My specs:

Tracker by mercury 2 stroke 4 cyl 115hp

Sounds like you've got one of the old 2+4 motors. They ran on 2-cylinders at low speed to conserve fuel, and kicked in the other two cylinders as RPM picked up. They had some problems with a less than smooth switchover. There should be some threads on that issue here on iboats if you search around a bit...
