Volvo 2003 SX M Seal Replacement

Hi

I recently checked the oil in my outdrive and found it to be milky.
Drained and pressure tested and detected a leak at the shift seal.

Questions are
- do I need to remove the shift actuator housing to replace?
- can seal be replaced with basic tool .... fine screwdriver to remove and socket to seat home?
- does the drive need flushing prior to refill?

Help appreciated.

You have to remove the shift mechanism and disassemble it. to replace the seal.
A socket will work to drive the seal home, but it must be the same size as the OD of the seal.
