I just purchased a 2003 Grew Cutter Bowrider, used, and the previous owner took great care of the boat. However, I was informed by my insurance company that I needed to get a marine survey done before they would give me insurance (something that not a lot of people have heard of and this is my first boat so I have not heard of it before either). The surveyor came out and found that the transom was full of water and needed to be replaced. He found that the drain that was at the back of the boat was more than likely never sealed properly and that over the years the boat's transom became full of water and would probably be rotting the wood. I will not make a long story even longer but to say the least I was neither impressed by Boatland Canada where the original owner purchased the boat nor was I impressed with Grew Canada and its owner. My question is.... has anyone had any problems with their Grew boats along the same line as mine or worse?
