gonna get a second battery

I will be buyin a second battery to connect up to my boat i already have a 85ah battery. is there any way I can connect the 2 batteries up and when one drains the second one wont.. so I wont be left stranded..and can still start my boat

I answered this in your other post. But here goes again. Yes you can install another battery, or two or three but you won't be able to keep all of them topped off. Two will work. But again, what is it you are trying to accomplish? There are dual battery swtiches, automatic charge relays, isolators, combiners, etc., and all of them have their unique applications.
