Getting off trolling motor plate

Looked at it and cant figure out how the front comes off.
I have the on with the springs up front.

unscrew the knurled knob and remove.Pull on the knob side of the plate forward until the the other side comes loose. The opposite side of the knob, has a pin that will release when the knob side is pulled forward of the boat. When you feel it come loose lift the plate up.

I have the same plate but modified it to fit the wireless trolling motor from Motorguide. Here is a picture of the underside so you can get an idea of how it is attached. You can pull the knurled knob side around towards the front or you can turn the center of the front mount until it lines up and comes off.
