Alright, so I have a 1998 90 hp merc. I was at the lake yesterday and it was working fine. BUt then I picked up a couple of my friends and we all sat in the bow while a friend drove. This is a 17 foot Sea Ray by the way. So we drove like that for a while and the bow and very low and their was certainly a lot of drag. We stopped and went off a rope swing and got back int he boat. Then the boat wouldnt give us full power. The boat normally goes up to around 7500 RPMs. But it was only going around 3500. The wierd thing was that if you put it in neutral and revved the boat, then it would work fine. And reverse worked fine too. But my question is, What is going on???
