1990 40 hp mercury. not a solid beep, but a constant beep... beep...beep etc. as soon as you turn the key on and does not stop even after motor is running. bought the boat used and is my first boat. not sure what warning beep is for, need help. please? oil tank is full and motor seems to emit the blue-ish smoke like its getting oil, havnt run it hard or very long (not until i figure out what warning is all about). thanks in advance for any input on this prob.
