I have what I think is a 1964 Evinrude 40hp I need a starter for it but I lost the starter and I have no number can anyone tell me the number for the starter?
the motor looks like this

Go to http://shop.evinrude.com/ Click on Electronic Parts Catalog. Follow the prompts to 1968 40hp (that's as far back as they go, but the starter is the same as '64)
