I have a 60 hp that keeps havin problems. when i go to accelerate does not want to go any where, untill i start pumpin primer bulb. Befor problem started lots of bubbles in gas line. Checked all connections, tank, and hoses even changed primer bulbs. Only to have same problem. thinkin Fuel pump.
Befoe i start taking this apart i thought i would ask the pros first.

If is problem ,can get hands on fuel pump from a 69 85 Hp 85esl69s if it will work, if not. Any other things to check before i order a rebuild kit. Thanx

Re: Bad fuel pump?

Bubbles usually means air intrusion into the fuel lines. Do not count out the pump though. personally I would get a new pump rather than a used one that is of unknown condition.
What year is the motor ??
My 2 cents.
