We bought a boat that already has a 765MX trolling motor. We don't have a manual and I can't find one online. The motor locks down in the water fine, but we can't find a way to lock it in the horizontal position when not in use. I don't know if there are missing parts, or if something is broken, or if it simply works that way. We are resorting to bungees to hold it in place while hauling the boat.
Does anyone know this motor and if it is supposed to lock in the horizontal position?
