Hey guys I have a 86 4 winns freedom 160 with a 3.0 mercruiser motor.
I have been having issues with my shifter. I replaced the lower shift cable on the outdrive alreay. My issue is going from foward or reverse to neutral where its extremely difficult to do. I am well aware of the interupter switch and how it works. I wired it up tonight out of the water and i forced the switch in to let it kill the engine.. My only issue is that the arm only moves when going into reverse if u were going to rev it.. other than that coming back into neutral from any shift position i dont see the arm pushing in the switch enough.. Is the arm bad? did i adjust it wrong? I drives fine in the water. Any thoughts?
