I checked for a similar post, but couldn't find anything so here goes:
Just got our boat out of storage. When I lowered the motor, I noticed a small amount (maybe an ounce) of what I think is gear oil in the center of the prop. I had changed the gear oil before I put it up last year. I also left it full of fuel with a stabilizer in it at the end of last season.
Is it common for fuel/oil to seep from this location? If so, is it a problem?
If it's gear oil, how difficult is it to change the prop seal on a '97 120 horse Force?
Any help would be appreciated.
