First I want to say that I am glad that I found this site, tons of information. My question is, this past weekend I was out with my boys tubing and wake boarding. The boat ran and started fine for about 2 hours. After letting the boys swim for awhile, I went to start the boat, and nothing. I could hear the full pump come on, but no clicking of the starter or anything. After about an hour or so, I went to try and start it again, and it started fine. We ran back to the marina and loaded up the boat. The next day, I cleaned all of the cables both battery and starter. They had a little corrosion, but not much. Someone told me that it could have been my shifter not engaging in neutral. How can I check the contacts of that, and do you know of anything else that I should check before we take the boat back out. I have a 2001 Tahoe Q7 with a 6.2L Mercruiser. Thanks again.
