have a 88 force 50 no spark , were can i find testing info and specs? and can someone tell me what the trigger does? Thanks
Clymer manual. $30 at most Mercury dealers.
Do a search for no spark, and stator. Lots of them out there. Basically you are going to want to check continuity of the leads coming off the stator. Also, check under the flywheel. Possible that the magnet on the flywheel is off and sticking to the stator, or gone completely(this going on experience with an '88 85 HP, not sure the setup on the 50). Trigger basically tells each plug when to fire.
