Spark plug question.

I have a 1990 mercury 90 horse 2 stroke. I've pulled the plugs off of this a few times, and they have what appears to be black oil on them pretty heavy. Is this normal for a 2 stroke, or am I possibly running it too rich? Thanks

It sound like your running to much oil,but id rather run too much than not enough! As long as its not fowling out on you i would'nt worry to much.
