Will only start the first time

My Johnson 110 hp engine will start when its cold and run very well, but once I shut it off I cant get it going again. It will typically start once it sits for a few hours, can anyone help me with this?

What model johnson are we talking about? Many of the older johnsons will flood if you try to crank them in a trimmed up position. If it is a matter of being trimmed up simply trime it all the way down. Some power packs will get hot after running and will not star until it has cooled down. I saw that on a 50 johnson my dad had several years ago. Hope this helps.
