2 years ago I picked up this wonderful boat with the goal of a nice retro lake boat, with the occasional tube/ski/board behind it.
I still have a ways to go before it's in top running condition again and as a beginning boater I have lots of questions..
The boat dies when at full throttle out of the hole, I'm thinking this is a problem with the accelerator pump/plunger? If I ease into the throttle it's ok, but if I give it full throttle it dies. Can anyone confirm I'm on the right path here?
I have a Rochester Carburetor 2GC, ID# 7020993.
If that's the case I'll probably need a rebuild kit for the carb?
Secondly, I need a new prop. I think the previous owner used the prop to make gravel...
I can't find the specs on my prop in any list online and I haven't had much luck measuring the pitch, I think the diameter is 16".
I would like to replace the current 3 blade prop, with a 4 blade. With the current prop I think my WOT is about 4000 rpm.
If anyone knows the OEM prop spec for this boat that would be awesome! I would like to go one step down for more hole shot acceleration.
Note: forgot to mention it has a 110hp (Iron Duke??) Mercruizer engine.
