Okay, so I have about 6 old outboards kicking around the garage and I just found out I will be laid off as of 6/25. SO, time to start rebuilding the buggers. I want to start with my Johnson 15 circa 1950 something. Trouble is, I know nothing of repairing outboards. I believe the compression is good (I do have a compression tester). Now, I need to test spark. Can someone please tell me how to exactly do that? If I have spark, great! it's on to bigger and better things. If not, what is the first thing I should look at?

I'll post a pic soon and keep updating throughout the process. Maybe the project will help another newbie like me to get started. Any info, tips, help or other input is most appreciated.:)
