Last year, I had some work done on my 1995 200HP tilt/trim unit. This year, the tilt / trim was dead. I found the cause of the problem was the wire insulation was worn off where the wires go into the top of the 12 volt motor. I think they are getting crushed when the motor is trimmed down. Can someone tell me where the wires should be located (fore, aft, port, stbd.) on the top of the motor ? I think the motor is not positioned correctly and needs to be rotated. My manual does not have a clear picture of this detail.
