Just helped replace a coil on a friends 1978 Merc 500/50 and noticed there is a wire on the back of the coil that looks to be a ground wire/strap.
The front has the normal + and - mounting posts but just wondering if that wire on the back is a bonding strap of some sort. My Force 150 doesn't have that wire so just wondering????????
