I have a pair of '05 Evinrude ETEC 250s on my 31' center console. Have had cables replaced and throttles cleaned and rebuilt but still fight to control speed and engine direction, particularly when maneuvering. Throttles have very limited "feel" and almost never engage in the same position either in forward or reverse. In addition, finding neutral is an almost impossible undertaking. Having now spent a significant amount on trying to get these things to work correctly, am exploring options to completely change out the throttle assembly with something that has better feel and control and avoid the white knuckle experience when maneuvering in tight spaces. Does anyone have any experience with this issue and make a recommendation. Thanks
