I need to replace the very badly corroded Thermo housing on my Sons 1988 Sea Ray 4.3L. I see a high dollar Mercruiser part along with cheaper ones that are stainless steel without balls (supposedly using an orifice in lieu of balls/spring), and aftermarket cast iron units. Any one have feedback on all my choices ? Prices go from $139 to $450 !
