I?ve just bought a new 5.7l partial engine and try to use the parts from my old 5.0 Vortec, # 0L043641, to complete. The new distributor has a barcode sticker #1104060, which seems to be a self contained Delco EST. So I think I only need the gray and purple wires. As I am trying to use my old wiring harness, what is going to happen to the remaning cables, are the left useless? And what shall I do with the audio system warning wire (tan/blue) and the water temp warning switch (yellow) which connect to the thunderbolt V module? Does anybody have an advice for me?
