Explain Model Name

Hi, I have a 1989 120 Evnirude VRO, when I look up parts it has the model name as Looper. Could someone explain to me what this means?

"Looper" = "Loop Charged".

There are two different types of V-4 OMC (John/Rude) engines.

Loop Charged and Cross Flow.

Your 120 is Loop Charged.
