I have a 93cobra outdrive v6 the gears tore up on me can some tell me if having a holley double pumper carb on it had something to do with it was it too much power for the gears and can I run v8 gears with my v6 motor
No !!!! the answer is is the gearcase. V-8 gears are the "same" just a different gear ratio. Ask your mechanic WHY the gears are bad!!! Lack of oil ??? Impact ???
THANKS P.V BUT there was plenty of oil and didnt hit anything was out in open water when the gears just let go this is the 2nd set of gears in four months think ill just replace the outdrive this time thanks again
