blown 1998 Mercury 150 HP outboard

HELP !

Last night on my way back to the marina, the outboard started making knocking noises and loosing power. It finally shut off. It didn't want to even crank again. Today at home, I had to turn the flywheel with a crowbar. After getting it loose, I tried the ignition and it started but with a heavy knocking noise on one side of the head. It is blown ??

If the definition of "blown" is broken, then yes.

Forcing the motor to turn over with crowbar is probably not the best thing to do... Sometime bigger hammer only makes things worse.
