I have a 29' Sea Ray 2000 with twin 5.0 Merc engines and Bravo three outdrives. The issue I am having is that the starboard engine when starting will idle normal but then on its own in neutral it will rev up to 2600 rpm then back down. WHen putting it into gear sometimes it will stall or it will be ok. But quickly going into gear then back to neutral it will rev up to 2600 rpm then back down and while it is busy reving I am not able to put it into gear because it would shift in to hard. Also when in gear at idle speed it will accelerate on its own, rev up then back down to idle when in gear. So far to fix this issue I have tried the following: Reprogrammed the ECM modules by Mercruiser, changed the map sensor and have run the computer to see if any error codes. No error codes were produced and engine is still acting up, I am at a loss any suggestions..
