What a stupid question

would have been stupider if I wouldn't have asked, and messed up more motor.
I'm (hopefully) gonna be getting the prop off tomorrow, and was curious about something. Can I do any and everything else to the motor that needs to be done, including RUNNING the engine, with no prop on it? I'm pretty sure the answer is yes, but I' rather ask and have people think "what a doofus", than NOT ask, and mess something up.

Yes, you can run the engine without the prop.

It's going to be tough to get it up on plane though.

Marc...I was gonna put all the fishing gear up front, wouldn't that make it easier to get up on plane??? LOL

Duck....neutral only it is....hadn't thought putting it in gear could be harmful, thnx for bringing that to my attention.

Good idea moving the tackle.

Not sure why you couldn't run it in gear without a prop though. I would.
