Re: fuel ratio

50:1

Look at the top of this forum for resources to find the year.

Re: fuel ratio

50:1 is the correct ratio. Good little motor, very popular in their day.

Re: fuel ratio

I have a 1990 merc 40hp two stroke. ratio is 40:1.
anyways, the other day after i got home from fishing and the boat sat over night.
I noticed about a 4" puddle of oil under the prop.
just had all the fluids in gear housing changed so i took it back to shop and all the presure testing was fine.
The mechanic said it was from the exhaust. unburned gas/oil/water mixed.
any ideas anyone?
I would post a pic but cant seem to figure out how.
