I have an 1976 Volvo Penta AQ 130d and need help. I was out on the lake last weekend and I was going on my way and then I started loosing power. I pulled the throttle back and the boat was fine at a low rpm but as soon as I went to give it power it started going and then back to slowing down. Any ideas on what it might be? Any help is gladly appreciated.

Re: Volvo Penta AQ 130d

There are several recent threads concerning the symptoms you describe. Here's one: http://forums.iboats.com/showthread.php?t=398394

The first guess is fuel but it can really be anything. Look at this in the "low WOT" section to get other ideas:http://forums.iboats.com/showthread.php?t=342393.

You can also do a search on "bogs down at high rpm" or similar key words and you'll find you're not the first one to have the problem. Good news is that most people come back and report the solution.
