Hey All,

I have a 14' 1969 Chrysler Charger 118, with a 1974 Evinrude 40hp on the rear. I picked this boat up last week, and when I went to start it for the first time, the key snapped in half, with half of it lodged in the ignition still. I managed to get the broken piece out, but then promptly lost it a short time after. I have since gotten the motor running by crossing a couple wires, but am plannin on installing a couple swtiches in it's place (push button start, kill switch, automatic choke switch etc.) is this a good idea? I am especially concerned with regard to the push button start if that is a good call or not (i'd hate to burn out the starter due to holding the button too long etc.) Any help would be appreicated, thanks.
