I have a 1998 sea ark zx 180 with a 115 johnson, it has a 14 x 19 pitch prop now but at wot it is only running at 5200 rpms. Do i need to go down in pitch to maybe a 14 x 17 or do i need to increase the pitch? Thanks for your help! Jon
Have you tried raising the motor.Antivent plate(just above the prop)
generally should be about 1" above the bottom.Usually I suggest raising to a point just before venting becomes a problem.If you get us all the info requested in one of the stickies at the top of the page we should be able to help.If you read the helps at the prop store page it will help you underestand prop selection.
Thank you, i beleive the engine is postion is about right. I may try a 14 x 17 to try to raise the rpm"s, right now it will run about 5200 rpm at wot. Thanks again for the advice.
